Deconstructed Tempeh Maki Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) package Tootie's Tempeh (curry or traditional), cubed into small bites
  • Avocado for the tempeh
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup veggie broth
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 1/4 tahini
  • 2 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves finely chopped garlic
  • Sriracha to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together the marinade and then marinate the tempeh for at least an hour or longer.
  2. Saute the tempeh till cooked and browned on both sides.
  3. Assemble into bowls with your favorite ingredients like avocado, carrots, kimchi, scallions, and sesame seeds.
  4. Serve with nori sheets or seaweed snacks such as Gimmie Seaweed to make your own deconstructed maki rolls. Beautiful, healthy, and filling!
